Fuego is redefining footwear built for dance, athletics, and streetwear — where style, performance, and comfort meet in every step. Born out of dance culture and forged on dance floors around the world, Fuego has grown into a global lifestyle brand, sold direct-to-consumer and through select retailers in 120+ countries.
We're looking for a Head of Distribution, Asia-Pacific to build and lead Fuego's distributor network across the region. This is a deal-making, relationship-building role — you'll identify the right retail and distribution partners in key markets (Japan, South Korea, Australia, Southeast Asia, and beyond), negotiate and structure agreements, and drive sustainable, profitable growth in a region where Fuego doesn't yet have a strong wholesale footprint.
You'll work closely with the CEO, Sales, and Product team to ensure distribution strategy aligns with brand positioning, product assortment, and pricing — and you'll be the face of Fuego to partners across Asia-Pacific.
Open to candidates based across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute Fuego's Asia-Pacific distribution strategy, with a roadmap for sequencing and expansion across priority markets (Japan, South Korea, Australia, Southeast Asia) over time
- Lead outreach, pitch, and negotiation with prospective distributors — from first contact through signed agreement
- Structure commercial terms including minimum order quantities, pricing/margin structures, territory rights, marketing co-investment, and performance targets
- Negotiate and finalize distribution agreements in partnership with legal counsel, protecting Fuego's brand standards, trademark, and long-term interests
- Navigate market-specific considerations across the region: import/export requirements, customs and duty structures, and local regulatory or certification requirements
- Support distribution planning as Fuego expands beyond footwear into apparel and accessories, ensuring partners can grow with the brand across categories over time
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in international sales, business development, or distributor management in footwear or apparel, with a focus on Asia-Pacific markets
- Proven track record structuring and closing distribution/partnership agreements with distributors or retailers in Japan, South Korea, Australia, or Southeast Asia
- Deep understanding of wholesale/distribution economics — margin structures, MOQs, terms, exclusivity, and territory management
- Familiarity with the region's sneaker, streetwear, and lifestyle footwear retail landscape and consumer trends
- Strong commercial instincts paired with the discipline to protect brand positioning and long-term partner quality over short-term volume
- Willingness and ability to travel across Asia-Pacific on a regular basis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin is a strong plus
Nice to Have
- Existing relationships with sneaker, streetwear, athletic, or lifestyle footwear distributors/retailers in Japan, South Korea, or Australia
- Experience launching a footwear or apparel brand into Asia-Pacific markets from scratch
- Background working alongside a lean, founder-led team where you'll build process as you go
