Role Description The Financial Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Hawthorne, CA, supporting day-to-day financial operations for HYPLAND. Responsibilities include processing and tracking invoices, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and supporting basic accounting tasks such as reconciliations and data entry. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing simple reports, and helping monitor expenses and budgets in coordination with the finance team. The Financial Assistant will communicate regularly with internal teams and external partners to resolve billing issues, clarify payment details, and ensure timely, accurate financial workflows. This position also assists with administrative tasks related to finance, helping improve processes and supporting the company’s growth in a fast-paced retail and e-commerce environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Finance and Accounting skills, including basic knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and financial record-keeping.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and support budget tracking and reporting.
• Candidates should possess Invoicing skills, including experience with invoice creation, processing, reconciliation, and payment follow-up.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and partners.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting or ERP software (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks, or similar tools) is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Prior experience in retail, fashion, or e-commerce finance support is a plus.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is advantageous.
