Key Responsibility

• Own and manage the Own Brand portfolio within the assigned category.
• Develop category and product strategies, including product roadmap aligned with category and business objectives.
• Develop new products and product concepts based on consumer needs, market opportunities and category requirements.
• Manage OEM/ODM suppliers, including supplier relationships, product specifications and product development.
• Drive sales, margin and category growth while maintaining product competitiveness.
• Monitor and improve Own Brand SKU productivity (Sales-per-SKU) across the category.
• Manage the end-to-end product journey from product development / sourcing through to shelf, ensuring quality and commercial readiness.
• Drive new product launches and ensure effective time-to-market.
• Monitor product quality and work with relevant functions to minimize quality incidents and product recalls.
• Build product competitiveness and, where relevant, drive repeat purchase and SKU growth.
• Lead and develop team members, providing direction and ensuring delivery of key initiatives within agreed timelines.
• Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations and other relevant functions to deliver category objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering or other relevant fields
• 5–8 years of experience in Retail Merchandising, Own Brand / Private Label, FMCG, Food Merchandising or related businesses
• Strong experience in Category / Product Management and Commercial Management
• Experience managing OEM/ODM suppliers and supplier relationships
• Strong understanding of product development, product specifications and commercial performance
• Experience in team management / people leadership
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills
• Product Owner / Agile experience is preferred
