About the role
Product Marketing Lead Orion Sleep | New York, NY | Full-time, on-site
Orion Sleep, founded in 2025, is focused on building the world's most advanced sleep system. The Orion Sleep System tracks millions of physiological signals each night and uses water-based temperature regulation to optimize sleep quality. The company combines cutting-edge hardware, software, and data science to improve rest and recovery. Orion Sleep is headquartered in San Francisco and New York City, with cross-functional teams collaborating closely to drive innovation in consumer health and wellness.
The Product Marketing Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, reporting to the VP of Growth. This is Orion's first product marketing hire.
You will own how the Orion Sleep System is communicated to our core customer, visually and in copy, and how that communication evolves as the product does. The Orion system is a technical product with a hardware, software, and data layer, and our customers are people who want to understand what they're buying. Your job is to make the product digestible, compelling, and aligned with what customers actually care about, and to make sure that story is consistent everywhere it appears.
This is a strategic role with a strong hands-on component. You will set the direction for how the product is displayed and described, define the product content roadmap that supports it, produce core assets yourself, and partner with design, growth, ecommerce, sales, lifecycle, and engineering so that content is used across all facets of the business. You will also lead product marketing for future releases, from positioning through launch.
Positioning and messaging. Define and maintain the positioning, messaging hierarchy, value propositions, and feature narrative for the Orion Sleep System. Decide what we say about the product, in what order, and with what proof.
Visual and written communication of the product. Set the direction for how the product is shown and explained: how the system works, what each component does, what the software adds, and why it matters to the customer. Translate technical detail into clear, digestible language and visuals.
Product content roadmap. Build and own the roadmap of product marketing assets: demos, explainers, how-it-works visuals, comparison content, spec and proof assets, app walkthroughs, and supporting copy. Prioritize by customer need and business impact, and determine how the content gets made, through in-house design, partners, and your own production.
Cross-functional distribution. Ensure product content is used consistently across the website and product pages, paid media, email and SMS, organic social, sales conversations, customer support, onboarding, and the app. Partner with channel and site owners so the product story is the same everywhere.
Product releases. Lead go-to-market for new features, software updates, and product releases. Work directly with engineering and product to understand what's shipping, define how it's communicated, and coordinate launch across channels and teams.
Sales enablement. Create the materials the sales team uses to explain the product: pitch decks, one-pagers, demo scripts, objection handling, feature explainers, and competitive comparisons. Partner with sales to support pipeline growth.
Customer and market insight. Conduct market and competitor analysis, develop and refine customer personas, and gather the questions customers actually ask through sales, support, reviews, and community. Feed those insights back into messaging and content.
Proof and claims. Maintain the library of product claims and supporting evidence and partner with legal on review. We sell on specifics.
Measurement. Analyze performance data across product pages, launches, and sales conversations to understand what's landing and refine the approach.
$130,000–$190,000 base salary, plus equity. Full-time, on-site in New York, NY. Health, dental, and vision insurance.
