About the role

Junior Data Analyst

We're looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our Digital Product team and support our Data Analytics function in maintaining a reliable suite of operational reports, while helping shape the ongoing development of our data infrastructure. Reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, you'll work under the guidance of senior team members to help build and maintain data pipelines and reports that power long-term reporting needs.

This role plays an important part in enabling data-driven decision-making across the business, helping teams access timely, accurate, and actionable insights related to our customers, supply chain, and sales.

This is a remote, contractor role based in Sri Lanka.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Data Analytics team's reporting across Customer Experience, Marketing, Sales, Product Development, Planning, Logistics, and Finance.
  • Help gather and document reporting requirements that power smarter, data-driven decisions across the business.
  • Assist with financial budgets and forecasting models alongside senior analysts.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines — writing scripts and queries, and supporting ETL flows that keep our data accurate and reliable.
  • Contribute to our evolving Business Intelligence platform, from data collection and cleansing to transformation.
  • Help shape and maintain our centralised data warehouse as the business grows.
  • Deliver timely ad-hoc reports that inform key operational and strategic decisions.
  • Turn data into clear stories — through reports, presentations, and visualisations that speak to technical and non-technical audiences alike.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong critical and strategic thinking — able to synthesise complex data into clear, actionable solutions.
  • 0–2 years' experience as a data analyst or similar (e-commerce a plus).
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, and database fundamentals.
  • Comfortable working with data sets, cleansing, and organisation.
  • Solid skills in Google Sheets or Excel for reporting.
  • Interest in or exposure to cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, AWS, or Azure).
  • Commercially minded, ideally from a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Process-driven, self-motivated, and quick to adapt.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience with Shopify, Google Analytics, Facebook, or ERP data.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, Python, or R.
  • Exposure to Tableau, Qlik, Data Studio, or ETL tools like Talend/SSIS.
