ROLE SUMMARY

As we grow, we’re looking for an Inventory & Cost Accountant to own product costing and inventory accounting across our in-house production facility, co-manufacturers, 3PLs, and Amazon FBA. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll build accurate standard and landed costs, run a reliable monthly inventory close, and keep inventory and fixed assets audit-ready.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Own product costing for in-house production and co-manufacturing, including bills of materials, labor, overhead, and variance analysis
  • Own inventory valuation, landed cost per SKU, and reserves for expired, short-dated, and damaged product
  • Reconcile inventory across the plant, 3PLs, and Amazon FBA to the general ledger and NetSuite each month
  • Coordinate cycle counts and year-end physical counts, including counts observed by auditors
  • Maintain fixed asset records and record monthly depreciation
  • Prepare audit-ready inventory and fixed asset schedules, costing documentation, and SOPs

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in inventory, cost, or manufacturing accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP for inventory and cost of goods sold, including standard and actual costing, overhead allocation, and manufacturing variances
  • Background in CPG or high-growth e-commerce (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • Expertise in NetSuite inventory or manufacturing modules or equivalent (strongly preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with multi-location inventory reconciliations, physical counts, and inventory controls
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting and depreciation
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines while partnering with Operations, Procurement, and warehouse teams

WHY WORK WITH US
