Role Description The Beauty Freelancer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sacramento, CA, supporting Shiseido’s brands through personalized customer service and product expertise. In this role, the Beauty Freelancer will engage with customers, provide skincare and makeup consultations, demonstrate product application techniques, and recommend tailored beauty solutions. Responsibilities include maintaining product displays, ensuring stock levels, supporting in-store events and promotions, and contributing to sales goals through informed and thoughtful product recommendations. The role also involves staying current with brand launches, beauty trends, and Shiseido’s standards of presentation and service, while collaborating with store teams to deliver a consistent and exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and client relationship skills, including the ability to provide personalized consultations and build long-term customer loyalty.
• Hands-on experience with skincare and makeup application, including product demonstration, shade matching, and routine recommendations.
• Sales and retail skills, such as meeting sales targets, handling point-of-sale transactions, and maintaining attractive, organized product displays.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and a professional, inclusive demeanor with diverse customers.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Sacramento, CA, with flexibility for weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods.
• Demonstrated interest in beauty, cosmetics, and current industry trends; prior beauty retail or freelance experience is highly beneficial.
• Basic administrative and organizational skills, such as tracking appointments, supporting events, and managing time efficiently in a dynamic store environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in cosmetology, makeup artistry, or skincare is a plus.
