About the role
Market Lane Coffee is looking for a Barista & Retail Sales Assistants to join our Southside (Prahran Market, South Melbourne Market) and City (Victoria St, Dairy Hall, Queen St and Mitchell House) shop groups, with the following requirements:
- A roster that includes 3–5 days/week (24–38 hours)
- Availability that includes both weekend days
About the role
Our Barista and Retail team members play the most important role at Market Lane.
As a Barista and Retail Assistant, you actively shape and influence each customer's experience during a visit to our shops. You control how a coffee is served and how its story is communicated. You are a service provider and a storyteller; you're the face of our entire operation and you can add so much joy, deliciousness, and sparkle to someone's day!

Market Lane Coffee is a coffee roastery and retailer, born and based in Naarm/Melbourne. We are dedicated to high quality coffee. We spend our time sourcing beans from some of the best growers in the world, looking for superior coffees that are distinctive and memorable and can stand up on their own without blending. We roast them carefully in small batches at our Brunswick East roastery, always aiming to bring out the most exquisite characteristics in the cup. We then carefully brew coffee for our customers in our nine shops across Melbourne, and do our best to help people make delicious coffee at home as well.
